Talks:

Sara Jakša: HTTP codes and how APIs use and abuse them

When working with requests over the internet, one of the standardized components of the response is the status code. But even defined in a descriptive way, they are not always used in the most intuitive way.
Sara will present the topic mostly through the examples of how she saw HTTP codes used in the wild.

Nejc Zupan: Fast Tests

Slow tests suck. They are annoying and slow down you and your team. Hours and hours of engineer time is lost waiting for the CI to finish. Nejc will go through a number of approaches and principles to help you write fast tests.

Lightning talks:

Neža Pajek Arambašič: A molecular biologist's journey from bash to Python

DNA sequence data analysis with QIIME2 (a microbiome bioinformatics platform) can be done with multiple types of user interfaces (CLI, Python API, or GUI). Tutorials focus mostly on CLI, while tutorials using Python API are few and incomplete.
Neža will share her experience converting CLI protocols to Python API and the general use of Python for preparing plots and results for thesis-related work.

We are still looking for lightning talks, the more the marrier! So ping us here, on Slack or on Github if you'd like to give one!
