What we’re about
This event will be about participating in a robot challenge.
There will be two teams who will each be given a ROS based robot of the same type and told to autonomously navigate the robot from their start point to a final end point. Its a race to the finish line.
The robot will be equipped with easy to use SLAM software that should make the autonomous navigation relatively easy - however there will be complications.
- The opposing team is allowed to hack in to your robot in an attempt to shut it down.
- There will be random obstacles put in the way in order to make it more difficult.
You will have a few hours before the competition starts to try to secure your own robot, and to figure out how to hack in to your opponents robot. You will also be able to use that time to figure out how you will make obstacle avoidance work.
We've done this challenge once before and it was so much fun that we decided we had to do it again. So come and join us as we challenge to win what's in the box at the finish line.
