This is a great group of retirees (55+) brought together by a woman, Martie Richter. This woman loved life and made it her mission to bring good people together to bring love, laughter and celebrate life. We lost this amazing lady this year and we vow to keep her spirit alive. You will always feel welcome in this group! Below are her word from the original group "Adjusting to Retirement/Hoping to Retire/Loving Retirement"
We are active and energetic adults who are loving retirement. We all want our retired lives to have as much purpose and meaning as we had during our careers. It's about making the most of our retirement years!
This group is open to all adults regardless of your stage of work life. This group will try to challenge conventional thoughts about retirement. We move through the transition from the work world to retirement, and the challenges, changes, obstacles and opportunities that we face.
Our members are lively, inquiring, interesting and welcoming. We celebrate the freedoms and challenges that life offers. We have fun exploring our futures and make new friends with like-minded people.
We enjoy many activities together, from breakfasts, lunches, dinners, movies, theatre, games, crafts, walking together, book clubs, volunteering and more depending on the interests of our members. Suggestions and those who want to host events are welcome.
HERE ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR GROUP: We are about learning, having fun and making friends. Membership dues are $10 per year with an initial 30 day free trial. This helps covers meetup fees and expenses to run events.

By joining our Meetup you agree to the polices we have in place:
1. You are responsible for your own food expense and to check food ingredients for allergies. We are not liable for your health and safety.
2. Have a recognizable profile picture.
3. Annual membership dues are $10.00 to help offset the Meetup Organizer dues and costs associated with running the group. You will have a 30 day trial period prior to being charged.
4. Business networking and promotion of your business is not permitted.
5. Political and religious promotion or advertising is not permitted.
6. This is not a dating site. Please refrain from emailing people you have not met or have not asked permission to contact.
7. We value behavior that "wears well on others" and we reserve the right to remove anyone from membership.
8. Meetup+ members will not be allowed to advance to the top of the waitlist. You will be removed if you are not 1st on list and this group reserves the right to not accept Meetup+ members into the group.
9. No-Show Policy - We make reservations at each restaurant for a specific number of attendees, and since the attendance is kept at a fairly small size we frequently have a waiting list. If you are unable to attend please be courteous and revise your RSVP promptly so as not to be a No-Show. This will also allow someone from the waiting list to join the event. If you are waitlisted and unable to attend please adjust your RSVP as well. After 2 No-Shows you will be removed from the group. If you are moved from the waitlist to "Attend" within 48 hours of the event I will try to contact you directly so you are aware of the change.
