"Little Women," by Louisa May Alcott, is a coming-of-age story set in 19th-century New England during the Civil War, following the lives of the four March sisters: Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy. Their father is away at war, and the sisters, along with their mother (Marmee), navigate adolescence, love, ambition, and hardship while striving to find their place in the world. The story explores themes of family, sisterhood, social expectations, and the evolving roles of women.
