LLVM Devs & Users Social

Details

We're organizing the next social at the SICS office. We're going to have 2 talks as well as an ad-hoc summary of EuroLLVM.

We will begin to gather around 17:30, and the talks will start roughly 30 minutes afterwards. There will be pizza courtesy of SICS.

The talks:

  • Static Analysis: Daniel Marjamäki will talk about static analysis, the philosophy of the Clang analyzer and how that compares to some other analyzers, how it works under the hood and some best practices for using static analysis.

  • Exploiting Memory-Level Parallelism: Kim-Anh Tran will discuss what memory-level parallelism (MLP) is, why it is important, how to exploit it and how to overcome challenges when reordering instructions for MLP, such as unknown memory dependencies and complex control flow. She'll present the LLVM-based tool Clairvoyance that they have built to achieve it.
