Talk abstract:
Join us to look at trends in modern compiler development and give advice on how you can join the LLVM community. We'll be discussing the LLVM community's involvement in Google Summer of Code (GSoC), which is focused on bringing new contributors into open source software development. GSoC contributors are paired with mentors to help guide them through a 12+ week project over the summer. During the talk, an LLVM mentor will go over the GSoC program, share experiences in past GSoC projects, and share tips on how to prepare a successful application for the program.

If you are a college/university student or a recent graduate, this is a great opportunity for software development mentoring and to join the LLVM community!
