Synopsis:
In this presentation, we will introduce Triton, a novel, high-performance, domain-specific language designed to accelerate AI workloads. We will delve into the language's description, highlighting its unique features and compilation flow. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of Triton in today's computing landscape and explore the challenges associated with extending it to new platforms and targets.
Speaker's background
Giancarlo Colmenares is a Compiler Engineer, with 6+ years of experience in Compiler Design, codegen for custom ASICs and Optimizations for ML workloads. Currently with the MTIA SW team at Meta supporting the Triton compiler, working on optimizations at customizations for the MTIA chip. Giancarlo has a PhD in Computer Science from Université du Québec, Canada.
