What we’re about
LO-CO-MOTION Manitoba Co-working Network is a group open to anyone interested in co-working spaces in general and/or for those who would like to get involved with new "local" co-working initiatives in Manitoba. We will maintain a network of individuals and companies focused on promoting and supporting local co-working spaces. Our aim is to be a resource to help new local initiatives get off the ground and running, and connect with a larger global network of existing co-working projects.
March, 2013: Our current focus will be the launching a new co-working space ("The Media HuB", a frameprojects inc. initiative), in the exchange district of Winnipeg, specifically designed for film and new media professionals. We are gathering a group of freelancers, producers, and small media companies interested in shared work space and studio/production space with common amenities and services. We hope to include a green screen studio, motion capture equipment, access to a render farm and software subscriptions, etc., as well as receptionist services, common boardroom/presentation room and meeting rooms for the workspace areas. Other features and services will be considered such as a large format printer, 3D scanners, fax & telephone/video conferencing, etc. We will be inviting opinions, ideas, wants and any other contributions from group members and all those interested.
W
e intend to host meetups to gather information from members and present current projects and updates, so if you submit your contact info we will keep you updated on any news or events.
