Free Outdoor Community Yoga Class at LEAF in Niles

Details

Have you ever wanted to take a yoga class but weren’t sure it was for you? Why not come try a free class or two, or five?

Between Saturday, February 22nd, and March 22nd, 2025, the LEAF Center in Niles offers free weekly vinyasa flow yoga classes for all levels.
The first class will start on Saturday, February 22nd, at 1:00 p.m. and last 1.5 hours. In the first 15 minutes, we will discuss safety and general yoga etiquette, followed by one hour of vinyasa flow, and the last 15 minutes will be for questions.

The class is free; however, we welcome monetary donations of any amount to LEAF at this link or on-site. If you can’t donate, please don’t let that stop you from showing up. We thank you for your presence and willingness to try the class and hope it leads to something positive for you and the people around you. For those who can donate, thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Please sign and bring the liability waiver to class.

We look forward to seeing you there, and Namaste.

Additional information:

  • This is an outdoor class. Please bring your water bottle and sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses and/or a hat). It will be canceled if it rains or is too windy (we will notify people through Meetup, so check back here if you're unsure).
  • Please bring your yoga mat if you can. We will do yoga on concrete slabs, not dirt. If you don’t have a mat, we will have a few mats to lend out on a first-come, first-serve basis. No other props are required, but feel free to bring your yoga blocks, a blanket and/or a strap if you have them.
  • There are no changing rooms or showers at the garden, so please arrive in your yoga gear or comfortable clothing. There is a toilet on site.
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Parking: The LEAF Center is located inside the California Nursery Historic Park at 36501 Niles Blvd, Fremont. Use the Southern entrance to the park (the one closest to Niles downtown), and the LEAF Center is on your right-hand side. There is ample car and bicycle parking inside this entrance.
  • If using GPS/Google Maps/Apple Maps, make sure you select the LEAF Center location in Niles (the address is 36501 Niles Blvd, Fremont, CA 94536) and NOT the “LEAF Urban Garden” on Mowry/Mission.
  • Public transit: AC Transit Bus 216 stops right outside the LEAF Center. Get off at Niles Blvd. & Hillview Drive.

About your yoga instructor:
