Hanging Rock State Park Hike! (Dog Friendly Event)

Hello Local Ladies!
I’m so excited to kick off the new year with you all by exploring one of our local treasures, Hanging Rock State Park! Join me for a refreshing winter hike on the Hanging Rock, Window Falls, and Hidden Falls Trails—a 4.9-mile out-and-back adventure with 948 feet of elevation gain. This trail is rated moderate, so it’s a perfect balance of challenge and fun!
Here’s what you need to know:

• When: Meet at the Hanging Rock State Park Visitor Center at 9:00 AM. We’ll begin hiking promptly at 9:15 AM, so please arrive a few minutes early.
• What to bring: Be sure to pack water, wear sturdy footwear, and bring any other essentials you’ll need for the hike.
• What to expect: With the trail’s distance, gorgeous views, and stops to enjoy the scenery, the hike may take anywhere from 2.5 to 4.5 hours.

Why winter hiking?
Winter hikes are magical—the absence of leaves opens up breathtaking views you won’t want to miss!
Dog-friendly event:
I’ll be bringing my energetic 2-year-old Golden Retriever along, so feel free to bring your furry friends too! Just make sure your dog is up for the hike, and don’t forget to bring waste bags to clean up after them.
