With over 50 wineries pouring at this event, plus bottles for purchase, $15 delivery of wines (free if 12 bottles or more purchased), and the actual winemakers to talk to, this is a very special tasting event.
We also get a $10 discount! With your RSVP I will message you the code. I attended last year and it was the best tasting event I have been to in years. This event focuses on grape varieties that may not be as popular in the United States, but have been grown in Europe forever.
But by no means are these obscure varietals. Sangiovese (Chianti), Gamay (Beaujolais) and Semillion (White Bordeaux) are just a few of the "obscure" varietals that will be poured.
There will be white, rose, red wines and some sparklers. The list of wineries are from all over California but primarily Santa Ynez, Paso Robles, and Los Angeles.
Some of my favorites are: Vega Vineyards from Buellton that specialize in Italian varietals, Tercero that specialize in whites and rosés, Luna Hart she has a Grüner Veltliner that is outstanding, Tatomer makes a dry Riesling, Thacher from Paso Robles makes a Cinsault, Marchelle from Sonoma - Colombard and Pinot Meunier, Hitching Post - Solvang - with a rare sparkling rosé from the Valdiguie grape, and of course the Los Angeles winemakers – Byron Blatty, Angeleno, and Cavaletti that make Tannat, Picpoul, Alicante Bouschet and more!
