June Book Club Meetup - I Robot by Isaac Asimov

Welcome, readers!

We will meet at Zaftig Brewing Co in their event room in the back. We are welcome to bring in our own food, but drinks must be purchased at the bar.

We will be reading I Robot by Hugo-award winning author Isaac Asimov. This novel-in-stories, the first and most widely read book in Asimov’s Robot series, forever changed the world’s perception of artificial intelligence. There are nine interconnected stories that blend science fact and science fiction. While the stories can be read separately, when combined they tell a larger story of Asimov's fictional history of robotics. This science fiction classic established The Three Laws of Robotics, ideas that continue to influence the ethics of artificial intelligence as well as permeate science fiction storytelling.
