Our July read is The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley.

A British–Cambodian civil servant is assigned to help a 19th-century Arctic explorer, Commander Graham Gore, adapt to life in modern London. Rescued from death by a secret government time-travel program, Gore is one of several historical figures now living in the present. They grapple with questions of identity, belonging, and the consequences of disrupting time. The novel mixes sci-fi, romance, satire, and postcolonial themes.
