Our August read is The Cemetery of Untold Stories by Julia Alvarez.

We follow Alma Cruz, a retired writer who returns to the Dominican Republic to bury her unfinished stories in a symbolic cemetery. But the stories won’t stay buried—they come alive, forcing Alma to confront her past, her legacy, and the power of storytelling.

We will meet at Zaftig Brewing Co in their event room in the back. We are welcome to bring in our own food, but drinks must be purchased at the bar.
