Our September read is The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson.

The parallel true stories of the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair and America’s first known serial killer, H.H. Holmes. While architect Daniel Burnham races to construct the magnificent fairgrounds, Holmes builds a nearby “Murder Castle” to lure and kill unsuspecting victims. The book weaves ambition, innovation, and darkness into a chilling portrait of Gilded Age America.
