Welcome, readers!

Our October read is The Island of Dr. Moreau by H. G. Wells.

We follow Edward Prendick, who is stranded on an island where Dr. Moreau creates human-like beasts through cruel experiments. The creatures eventually rebel, and after chaos and bloodshed, Prendick escapes—left shaken by how thin the line is between humans and animals.

We will meet at Zaftig Brewing Co in their event room in the back. We are welcome to bring in our own food, but drinks must be purchased at the bar.
