Wildwood Park - Santa Rosa Loop
Details
Wildwood Park is rich in historic and archaeological resources, unusual geologic formations, and is home to a wide range of plant and animal life. More importantly, its also the location for this week's hike!
The first 2/3 of the hike will begin on Mesa Trail which will take us to the Santa Rosa Trail with a loop around Montclef Ridge overlooking both Conejo and Santa Rosa Valleys. If its a clear day we will be able to see Santa Cruz Island.
On our return back to the Mesa Trail we begin the last third of the hike with a detour to Paradise Falls and return to the parking lot via Indian Creek trail.
Hike is about 8 miles with an elevation gain of 900 feet during the first part and 500 feet during the second part.
How to get there: From the 23 Freeway (or Lynn Rd), go west on Avenida de Los Arboles and drive to end of road. Park in the lot at Arboles & Big Sky
