Wow! Its our 3rd anniversary already. Let's celebrate with a Potluck & BBQ at Oak Canyon Community Park -- we'll do a hike also -- and reminisce about the past year and plan for the next.

Oak Canyon Community Park is a beautiful, 60-acre park with sandstone cliffs and a year-round creek. The park has a nature trail that loops through an oak forest, crossing several times over Medea Creek. Near the trailhead is a manmade waterfall cascading into a duck pond .

We'll do a moderate 6 mile hike through the park and out to the north along the China Flats Trail and connectors below the Conejo Ridge. There is also a beginner option. Covered picnic tables will be waiting for us on our return. If you just want to show up for the potluck that's ok too.

Hike and Potluck will take place in Oak Canyon Park (https://www.rsrpd.org/park/oakcanyoncommunitypark/oakcanyoncommunitypark.html) but its most convenient to park next door at the Oak Park Community Center (https://www.rsrpd.org/park/opccg/opccghome.html)

Directions: From U.S. 101 in Agoura, exit on Kanan Road and drive north three miles. Turn right into the Oak Park Community Center and park at eastern end of lot. We'll meet there by the waterfall.

Please use the comment section to list the items you will be bringing. Items will remain in your car until after the hike so plan accordingly.
