TGI Thursday Hike:Ahmanson Ranch/Start from Calabasas

I am cancelling this hike due to possibility of rain. If it was a day hike I would say, "don't forget your ponchos." However since this is an evening and getting very cold without the moisture I don't think its a good idea to be out there.
This is a joint hike with Jan's TO Hikers' TGI Thursday Hike:Ahmanson Ranch/Start from Woodland Hills hike. But instead of starting in Woodland Hills we will start in Calabasas at the end of Las Virgenes Rd.
For the sake of simplicity we will meet up with them at the beginning of their hike -- its a gentle 3 mile hike to their starting point (8 miles by car) between rolling hills studded by California Oak. At this point we will all hike together (5 miles?) until the group gets back down toward our trailhead. At some point we will part company and return toward our respective trailheads.
Bring snacks and/or beverages to share.
Directions to trailhead: From 101 exit Las Virgenes Rd. and head north. Park at end of road. There is free unrestricted parking
