Hike and Picnic: Twin Ponds - Dos Vientos Loop - Potluck

We've had some great potluck picnics at this spot with covered parking and covered picnic tables. Let's have another!

We'll start with a loop hike at Dos Vientos Community Park exploring some of the neighborhood trails in the Dos Vientos area of the southwestern Conejo Valley. It provides a great overview of the nearby Dos Vientos residential area, as well as distant vistas including Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, surrounding mountains and open space, a secluded pond, the Pacific coast, and two of the Channel Islands.

🧺🍉The park has lots of picnic tables (including BBQs) where we can have our potluck lunch. Bring food and drink to share -- leave everything in car until our return to park.

Hike is a 6.5 mile loop with a total ascent of about 900 ft and is rated MEDIUM. See Hike Rating Guide

DIRECTIONS

Park on the northeast side of the Park. Head for address and enter park on Via Ricardo. We'll meet at the covered picnic benches (which is also the site of our Potluck lunch after the hike)
