π₯ΎAn Evening Hike in Corral Canyon π Dinner at Malibu SeafoodπΉ
Details
Join us for a pleasant 2.5-mile loop through beautiful Corral Canyon in the Santa Monica Mountains.
Corral Canyon is the last undeveloped canyon that flows freely to the ocean. A 2.5-mile-long trail climbs through pristine wilderness to the Puerco Canyon watershed divide and provides spectacular ocean and mountain views. It then descends onto an ancient marine terrace with native bunch grasses. Along this route, we'll pass through coastal sage scrub, bay laurel, coastal bluff native grassland, and the riparian corridor of Corral Creek with its alder, coast live oak, California sycamore, and willow trees.
This hike is perfect for anyone looking for a shorter adventure, whether you're new to hiking, easing back into the outdoors, or simply want a cooler, scenic walk without committing to a long day on the trail. We'll take a few short breaks to enjoy the surroundings and regroup as needed.
After the hike, anyone who would like to join us can walk next door to Malibu Seafood for dinner. It's one of our favorite casual fresh seafood spots. One of the best parts is that they allow you to bring your own beverages, whether that's a soft drink or your favorite adult beverage, making it a fun and relaxing way to wrap up the evening.
