Palo Comado Canyon to China Flats
Details
Join us for an easy-paced 8.5 mile hike alongside a creek bed, rolling grasslands and oak groves. For more details and a trail map see brochure in Files section (https://files.meetup.com/454296/Palo%20Comado_Cheeseboro.pdf). This hike is rated "moderate-to-strenuous" with a 1,200' elevation gain.
Meet 9:00 am at the trailhead.
Directions:
From 101 Fwy, take Kanan Rd exit. Turn North towards Oak Park 2 ΒΌ mi to Sunnycrest Dr and turn Right. Continue ΒΎ mi to where Sunnycrest Dr changes name to Doubltree Rd and park at curb at the 4th(?) "Public Open Space" sign. There is also a large yellow sign announcing planned water tank site "A8."
From LA/PCH take Malibu Canyon up to the 101 North (left) and exit Kanan as above.
Bring at least 2 Qt water, snacks/lunch
