Two Waterfalls & Two Loops
Details
After many hikes with dry creeks and dry waterfalls here is one with two flowing waterfalls, one 37' high. This week's hike is in Wildwood Park and will be 7- 8 miles long. The net elevation gain is only about 500 feet, but with all the ups and downs total elevation gain will add up to about 1500 ft. Fit Beginners will be OK.
The first loop will start on the Moonridge Trail then continues down into Wildwood Canyon and to Paradise Falls. After a short break at the base of the falls, we hike up Wildwood Canyon to the Lynnmere Trail and make a big loop (the 2nd loop) around the south side of Wildwood Park. We will return by way of Indian Creek, pass by the second waterfall, and complete the second half of the first loop. Other highlights include the teepee, Indian cave, natural spring and real flush toilets. For more information and trail maps see https://www.cosf.org/w...
