Cheeseboro/Las Virgenes Canyons - Modified

Join us for an appx 9-mile hike in Upper Las Virgenes Preserve and Cheeseboro Canyon. We'll do this hike a little differently than usual so even veterans of the area will hike new trails and experience new scenery.

We will start at the northern terminus of Las Virgenes Rd and proceed north along a low ridge to the Cheseboro Connector where we turn west (see trail map: https://files.meetup.c... (https://files.meetup.com/454296/Palo%20Comado_Cheeseboro.pdf)) and enter Cheeseboro Canyon at the picnic table. After turning north we will come to the Baleen Wall trail (not on map) half-way up the canyon and take that east to the Baleen Wall where we will have a snack break. From there we hike north to the connector with Las Virgenes Canyon Trail and hike south down Las Virgenes Canyon back to the car.

To get to trailhead take 101 and exit Las Virgenes Rd. Turn north (away from beach) to end of road. From PCH drive up Malibu Canyon to the end (Malibu Cyn changes its name to Las Virgenes Rd).
