Porter Ranch Loop
Details
Some say the open spaces and trails lacing Porter Ranch serves as a nice model for community development. Others will argue that the Valley would be a better place without the square miles of new housing developments.
But at least we still have the opportunity to wander the remaining vestiges of two riparian canyons and a cliff-rimmed hillside blanketed with aromatic sage. So let us set out for the suburban stronghold of Porter Ranch for a variegated 8 mile loop through the hidden wilds and wild suburbia of the north valley including Aliso and Limekiln Canyons. Net elevation gain is 500 ft.
