⚔️ HEMA in the Park – Medieval Swordfighting Meetup! 🛡️
Ever wanted to try medieval swordfighting? We’re meeting up in Kennington Gardens for a fun and informal session of HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) – think of it as a medieval duel... minus the danger!
I’ll bring a full set of training gear and practice swords (plastic and wood – totally unsharpened and beginner-friendly). If you’ve got your own kit, bring it along!
No experience needed – just come ready to move, swing a sword, and maybe lie in the grass afterwards wondering why medieval knights were so fit.
🍎 Bring snacks or drinks if you can – we usually end up chilling and chatting more than fighting. It’s a relaxed vibe.
