Sunday drinks @ Café Lust

We're a group of friends who want to connect with locals and other expats/immigrants who are in Amsterdam long-term. We try to keep the number of attendees low to create a more intimate atmosphere.

We're usually the only large english speaking group in the bar, but you can always ask the bartenders if you can't find us. Think of this less as an event and more as just a group of people hanging out in a bar. As such you don't need to show up exactly on time :)

Signups open only a few days before the event, to reduce the number of people signing up and then forgetting about it. The first few to RSVP are allowed to attend directly. The remaining spots will be chosen by the organizers - we pull people in from the waiting list to create a good mix of regulars/newcomers, genders and nationalities. People who have been on the waiting list in the past tend to get prioritized in future events!

We don't aim to be egalitarian or fair, plenty of other meetups with open admission exist for that - our only goal is to create a nice and welcoming vibe. If you're on the waiting list, please do not show up unannounced.

If you have signed up for the event but cannot make it (whether you're on the waiting list or not), please set yourself to "not going" by editing your RSVP on the Meetup website or app - it helps us make an accurate estimate of how many people will attend. People who "no-show" many times tend to not get prioritized on the waiting list!

We do not tolerate any sexism, racism, homophobia, harassment or creepy/inappropriate behavior at our events. If you notice any behavior at our events that make you or anyone else uncomfortable, please do not hesitate to reach out to the organizers.
