Life Drawing: Building Confidence with the Fundamentals
Increase your confidence in the timeless practice of drawing from life. This encouraging and enthusiastic approach to the fundamental concepts of figurative drawing will help you interpret and solve problems and lay a foundation for your drawings and paintings. Academically inclined with a strong emphasis on anatomy, this class is great for beginners or for a refresher. Come learn this essential skill in a relaxed yet thorough manner.
Super Simple Drawing from Life Materials List:

18”x24” 50 lb. Newsprint Paper Pad (or better, but newsprint fine)

Drawing Board (Anything to create rigid support for the paper pad. It can be store bought or homemade.)

Compressed Charcoal (General’s or better), Vine Charcoal

Kneaded Eraser

Fine tooth sandpaper block or just … sandpaper.

Blue Painters Tape or Clips to hold paper to the board.
Optional:
- Compressed Paper Stumps (Optional but you may find useful)
- Spray Fixative (Optional, for use outside only)
