Hall Meet - Body Parts Macro. (Steady now, we only mean hands and faces for this, nothing else.) The purpose of this meet is to shoot closeups of the body in a Studio environment. ISLE OF MAY: PLEASE NOTE DATE \ TIME CHANGE: 7th July 2019 Anchored on the edge of the Firth of Forth, the Isle of May is a magical mix of sea birds, seals and smugglers. In early summer the cliffs are heaving with nesting sea birds in a noisy spectacle you can witness from the cliff top path. The island is also home to the unmistakeable puffin, a comical looking bird that dazzles visitors with its brightly coloured bill. There's a dark past here though, with monks, Vikings and smugglers on the list of previous visitors. The island is literally jam packed with Puffins (which it is famous for as there are nearly 90,000 of them) and is home to many other nesting birds. For those with an interest, there are 3 lighthouses on the island included the first electric lighthouse in the UK. What to bring: Dress warm and wear good walking shoes as the island can get very windy and cold. Waterproofs are also a good idea in case it rains. Bring a hat for the sun and the Artic Terns. There is a visitor centre on the island should we need to take cover but bring your own snacks and cold drinks as there is no shop or vending machines on the island. Children are welcome but we do caution you that there are unprotected cliffs on the island and the nesting areas of the birds (puffins nest in burrows) need respected, so necessary supervision is paramount. There are 2 different ferries to the Island that depart from Anstruther. Due to the amount of gear we call carry, we will be taking the Isle of May ferry (there is also a ribbed fast boat but it gets very wet). Please let us know if you would prefer to travel on the ribbed boat. Sailing on the day is at 09:45am. We will have approximately 2.5hrs on the island. It is requested to check in 1/2 and hour ahead of sailing so we need to be in Anstruther by 09:15am. Travelling time from Balloch is approximately 2hours, 15 minutes (90 odd miles) so it would be prudent to depart at about 07h00 am from Balloch. You are welcome to travel directly without starting from Balloch should you wish. We will arrange car pooling nearer the time so feel free to book if you don't have transport and we will make a plan. COSTS: Adults: £28.00 Students (anyone with valid student card): £ 24.00 Young Adult: 16 or 17 years old: £24.00 Concession (65yrs ): £24.00 Child 3-15yrs: £ 14.00 PAYMENT: Please book using Meetup, and submit your payment as soon as possible. (you can pay with paypal or direct transfer). When you book you will be asked if you or anyone in your party qualifies for reduced pricing (as listed above).
