What we're about

The Loch Lomond Camera Club is a member-run group of (slightly mad) enthusiastic photographers who typically have a get together once a week. While we are members of the Scottish Photographic Federation (and the PAGB), we are more about getting out and about, taking photo's and learning from each other.

Our regular meetups are held on a Thursday evening alternating between a meeting at the West of Scotland Autism and Aspergers Centre (Station St, Renton, G82 4ND) and group outings.

This page is the central point for confirming your attendance of any meetups and to communicate with members via email (not all members are on Facebook). Wherever possible the information will also be shared on our Facebook page.

Meetups are usually planned one month in advance.

Please note that all members attend all events at their own risk, and are responsible for their own decisions and safety. Participants in any club activities should be aware of and accept any risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement in the club.

Everyone is welcome to attend but any juniors (16 and under) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Hall Meet: Guest Speaker - Libby Smith - Digital Monochrome

Vale of Leven Autism & Aspergers Forum

£3.00

Hall Meet: Guest Speaker - Libby Smith MPAGB, APAGB, EFIAP, HonSPF This week we are happy to announce that we have a return visit from Libby Smith MPAGB, APAGB, EFIAP, HonSPF. Libby gave us a Lecture and Practical Demo in November in Photoshop which included Adjustment Layers and Masks, which went down very well indeed amongst the attendees. The Digital Monochrome Lecture will give an overview of Black and White using prints and how the quality of Printer, Paper and contrast control, will affect your Monochrome result. The Digital part of the presentation will talk through various conversions available in Photoshop and how to get the best range of tones in your B&W images. The practical will then demonstrate a couple of the best methods and show how you could combine methods using Photoshop, and how that fits in to the basic adjustment workflow demonstrated in the Previous Photoshop Lecture in November. The Lecture will also provide a little more practice on Selections, Layers and Masks. All club members and visitors are welcome. There is a club fee of £3 per person payable as follows: Paypal: [masked] or Bank Transfer: Bank of Scotland Loch Lomond Camera Club Sort Code:[masked] Account:[masked] or Cash on the night. If anyone wishes to arrange car pooling to the event site then please discuss this in the comments section below between each other. Swap phone numbers if possible to avoid any mishaps.
