Lower Colorado River Clean Up

Join us this Sunday at River Forest Haven for our inaugural Lower Colorado River Cleanup! We'll be focusing our efforts on the section of the river that runs alongside the campground, where debris from recent rainfalls has accumulated. Our goal for this initial cleanup is to remove smaller trash items from the river and its banks. All participants will receive a gift card for a free night of camping, to be used on a date of your choosing!

To prepare for the event, don't forget to bring your water shoes, sunscreen, hat, and drinking water. Trash grabbers and trash bags will be provided to all attendees, as well as canoes and/or kayaks. We will also have a 5-gallon jug available to refill your water bottles.

Please note that due to limited canoe and kayak availability, we can only accommodate a maximum of 15 people for this cleanup. Therefore, registration via Meetup is required to secure your spot. Don't miss this opportunity to contribute to a cleaner and healthier Lower Colorado River!
