What we’re about
The LOJ chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club Meetup is a group for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, hiking, nature walks, day trips, overnight backpacking outings, canoe trips and other adventurous activities. Volunteers from the chapter assist in various projects around the ADK LOJ property through out the year. We organize trips and outings to explore the beauty of the Adirondack Mountains and beyond, while promoting a love for the outdoors and a sense of camaraderie among members. Whether you're a seasoned outdoor pro or a beginner looking to try something new, you'll find like-minded individuals ready to embark on exciting adventures with you. Join us and unleash your inner explorer! Adirondack Mountain Club Membership is $50 for individual/ $70 for family per year. Memberships are for a full year, no matter when you join. LOJ Chapter membership right now is allowing people to join the meet up site without Adirondack Mountain Club Membership. But if you like what you see after a few trips you are encouraged to join at a meeting or via the ADK website. You can get more details on membership at https://www.adk.org
The chapter has its annual picnic early in August at the ADK LOJ on the shores of heart lake in lake placid NY.
