Experience a beautiful and easy nature walk/hike. Join us in front of the Visitor Center parking area at Coyote Hills Regional Park. Please read entire description; there is important info at the end ! :-)

Lisa Barboza will be conducting a birdwatching, botany observation and fun day hike in the wonderful Coyote Hills Park, which is right on the eastern edge of San Francisco Bay. We will be able to walk on the boardwalk in the marsh and see wildlife and, hopefully, the early winter birds.

After our walk, the excellent visitor center is fun and interesting to visit and there is a magical butterfly garden.

The hike is about 4 miles in length, and will gain about 200 feet. We will be making frequent stops to observe migratory waterfowl, and other birds, as well as the local botany. We will also be respecting the indigenous people inhabitants of this area, the Ohlone Muwekma Tribe.
As you enter the park, drive to the very end of the road and park. There is a $5 per vehicle entrance fee. If parking is full, there's an overflow lot to the R as you get to the end of the road.

If you wish to stay after our hike/walk ends to enjoy lunch at the picnic tables, please do so. Picnic tables are near the parking lot so you can leave your lunch in the car.

This event is open to Veterans and their family members, and any other members of the public who wish to attend. We will be honoring Veterans service to our great country.

RSVP by clicking this link. If there is a change due to weather, this is how we will communicate, so it's important to do this - PLEASE.
