MEET: Near bathrooms in the parking lot in San Pedro Valley County Park, 600 Oddstad Blvd. Pacifica, 94044 ,

Hike out-and-back from San Pedro Valley Park up the Brooks Creek and Montara Mountain trails. Enjoy expansive views from the top, weather permitting. We'll have lunch at the top if conditions are good, then return. About 7 miles and 1700 feet gain with some steep, rocky, and muddy sections. Adverse weather may shorten the hike or alter route. There is cell service available.

This park has two creeks which provide some of last remaining spawning areas for Steelhead in San Mateo County. We practice "leave no trace" and carry out everything we carry in.

Light snacks after the hike (optional).

BRING: At least 1.5 - 2L water, lunch and something to sit on, layered clothing, poles if you use them. It may be windy and cold
