Description: Starting at Pillar Point Harbor, where water and restrooms are available, we'll hike around the harbor and out to Mavericks Beach. Then we'll hike up the coastal Bluff Trail, with a side trip down to Ross Cove and back to enjoy the ocean and give us a bit more elevation. Once back on the Bluff Trail, we continue on to Fitzgerald Marine reserve, where we may have another beach stop. Water and restrooms are also available at the reserve. Route subject to change.
Although we are near the ocean, it is likely to be a warm day, so be sure to bring a sun hat and plenty of water. The route is mostly exposed. Going down and back up from Ross Cove and other beaches is short but steep. We'll go at a moderate pace with brief stops for points of interest.
Optional soft drinks/light snacks after the hike.
