Robotics in Action: Transforming Industries

Details
Robotics, powered by artificial intelligence, is revolutionizing sectors from manufacturing and healthcare to logistics and agriculture. Our panel delves into how startups, researchers, and investors are driving innovations that enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity across these diverse fields.
Speakers
Yunus Skeete - Founder and CEO of Spatial Intelligence, a company developing human-like 3D perception to help machines better understand and interact with the real world for more generalisable autonomy. He has a background in 3D AI and visual intelligence - including building 3D RAG to build architectural models with one prompt, and training AI models to reason on human-like visual percepts rather than raw image features.
Chris Xiaoxuan Lu - Associate Professor in Robotics and AI, UCL Engineering. Chris’ research centres on Scaling Foundation Models for Embodied AI, leveraging recent advancements in AI and machine learning to adapt foundation models for real-world applications.
Beata Grzyb – Business Manager at UCL Business (UCLB), where she leads the development and commercialisation of innovations from the AI and Robotics Institutes. She evaluates commercial potential and implements strategies to transform academic inventions into market-ready applications. Beata holds a PhD in Developmental Robotics and has earned three innovation awards for her research. She has served as an Assistant Professor in AI and Head of the Robotics Lab at Radboud University. She has also founded a VC-backed startup focused on AI-driven mental health solutions and advised startups in Conversational AI and VR for mental health.
Agnes Szeppligeti - Innovator in Neuroadaptive AI | Founder of Proficial Intelligence | Former Couture Designer.
Agnes is building with Proficial: a system that respects human emotional range and works with it. Not above it, not instead of it, but alongside it.
