Everyone in this day and age knows Akira is a landmark in animation, but not many people have seen it on the big screen and fewer still in this newly remastered 4K version, which looks FANTASTIC going by the trailer I saw the other night. The colours jump out and everything is sharper and more detailed, but the plot and characterisation is still the same. Do I even need to mention this is subs not dubs?

Oh yeah, the plot. A teen biker gang in Neo Tokyo (as it was called after the nuclear blast) get caught up in a secret military project that involves psychics and mutants. Things end up getting really out of hand.
