Howl's Moving Castle (2004) - Netflix

It may not have the visceral thrills of Princess Mononoke, the out-there imagination of Spirited Away or the old fashioned romance of Porco Rosso, but Studio Ghibli's adaptation of Diana Wynne Jones's children's book has become a perennial favourite, even if it lost out to Wallace and Gromit at the Oscars that year.

The malevolent Witch of the Waste places a curse on a shy young shop assistant that causes her to inhabit the body of an old woman. While trying to break the curse, she meets a powerful but foppish wizard named Howl, who lives in a castle with legs that trots across the land.
