Red Desert (1964) - YouTube

Hey hey, it's a bonafide Criterion-level classic this month, Michelangelo Antonioni's fourth film with Monica Vitti* also marked his entry into colour, with a sumptuously beautiful study of isolation and desire that won the Golden Lion at Venice that year.
Vitti plays Giuliana, who has been having 'issues' in the wake of a recent car accident, and who begins an affair with a visiting businessman played by Richard Harris, who was just coming into his own as a leading man. This all takes place against a visual backdrop of striking industrial architecture.
I could show you a trailer but it's mostly just footage of the Venice Film Festival, so how about hearing Mark Kermode's recommendation instead? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLMzAUv67ho
As ever, we meet online at 7.45pm and press play together 15 minutes later, chatting in a WhatsApp group while the movie is on. Link to that and the group will be up half an hour earlier. Don't be late and don't no show!
*You may have seen the first, L'Avventura, in cinemas in the last month or two
