Palindromes is a pseudo-sequel to Todd Solondz's acclaimed debut, Welcome to the Dollhouse, with a few of the same characters. It shares a curdled vision of working class suburbia as well as a mixture of painful self awareness, tragically black comedy and social maladjustment. As ever with Solondz, it isn't for the faint of heart.

The film follows a young girl called Aviva, who wants very badly to become a mother, to the shock of her family, and the community around her. If that's too simple, Palindromes experiments by splitting itself into eight separate parts, each of which involve Aviva being played by someone different (including, at one point, Jennifer Jason Leigh). Going to be honest, I haven't seen this, but I am intrigued.
