Bull Durham (1988) - SOLD OUT
Details
That's right tickets are now gone. The early bird, etc.
Kevin Costner may not be an awards-worthy actor but he was one of the most engaging big-screen actors of his era, and Bull Durham cemented the 'aw shucks' persona he'd deploy in Tin Cup and, to some extent, Robin Hood with great effect. Ron Shelton wrote both this and Tin Cup, incidentally, as well as White Men Can't Jump.
Costner plays 'Crash' Davis, a former major league catcher, now in the twilight of his career in the minor leagues. When hotshot but erratic young pitcher 'Nuke' LaLoosh (Tim Robbins) joins his team, Crash has to teach him what's what, both in baseball and life. In the background is renowned baeball groupie Annie (Susan Sarandon), who might have some things to teach both of them.
