Southwark by The "Liberty" of the Clink, next to the old prison,(will be explained on the walk!) was owned by the Bishops of Winchester, who ironically were quite happy to collect the revenue from the brothels, because they were banned north of the river, in the City (i.e. within the boundaries of the Roman Wall).

COST WILL BE £3 (cash on the day) FOR NON SEASON TICKET HOLDERS/Guests - please bring Ken's card..WE shall walk to London Bridge so only 3.0 miles, but really not much more than 2 hours IF we went directly but a lot of stops for "history" etc. Depending on numbers I can see whether tour of Rose Theatre (earlier than Shakespeare's Globe) is possible.

All of you are welcome at Two Temple Place Exhibition in the morning at 11.00am, but please RSVP seperately for each event .
