Behind the Scenes:
This reindeer series was inspired by autumn sketching sessions at Riverway Farm, using polar blue Mi-Teintes paper for a snowy atmosphere. I later added watercolour in-studio using photo references.
Artist's Mindset Reminder:
- Draw with intention.
- Look more than you draw.
- Don’t aim for perfection—aim for progress.
- Keep sketching, even when it’s tough.
- Every mark you create should relate to a carefully observed animal element.
