Behind the Scenes:
This reindeer series was inspired by autumn sketching sessions at Riverway Farm, using polar blue Mi-Teintes paper for a snowy atmosphere. I later added watercolour in-studio using photo references.

Artist's Mindset Reminder:

  • Draw with intention.
  • Look more than you draw.
  • Don’t aim for perfection—aim for progress.
  • Keep sketching, even when it’s tough.
  • Every mark you create should relate to a carefully observed animal element.
