Designing embodied human-computer interactions (HCIs) with audio processing parameters
**** Summary ****
Balandino Di Donato will talk on the principles of Music and HCI to encourage a natural and embodied interaction with interactive audiovisual software during performance; and, the journey of Myo Mapper from enabling technology to instrument for musical performance.
**** Speaker ****
Balandino Di Donato is Lecturer in Creative Computing as University of Leicester and, PhD Candidate at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in Music Technology. He recently left the role of Research Assistant at Embodied Audio Visual Interaction Unit - Goldsmiths, University of London, where he worked on the EU funded project BioMusic.
His research interest are in the area of interactive audiovisual performances and interaction design.
Previous work in the Audio Developer community include Myo Mapper, which received the ADC JUCE Award 2017.
**** ABOUT THE MEETUP ****
A meetup for the London Audio Developer community. Meet people, network, talk shop and listen to interesting talks.
The recurring themes of the meetup are: Digital Signal Processing, 3D audio, embedded audio, plug-in development, audio for mobile, C/C++ topics and more.
The Audio Developers meetup is a spin-off meetup of the Audio Developer Conference, the largest annual gathering of audio developers.
