What we’re about

To meet and exchange knowledge as DIY/hobbyist mechanics. Learn what worked and didnt work during a project. Help eachother diagnose an automotive problem. Talk about tools, troubleshooting, tuning, maintaining, best practices, additives, good engines, bad engines, petrol, gas, EGRs, MOTs, what has been, what's here, and what's to come. Anything really.

The impetus for creating this group:
My old neighbor John was a retired mechanic with over 30 + years working on all sorts of cars and trucks in the US. His garage always had an old western movie playing on a trash-find TV, a lit cigar on a workbench, and heaps of loosely organized tools, parts, chemicals, and half finished projects laying about.
Hell, he even had a crankshaft from an old Chevy 454 CID as the post for his mailbox in his front garden.
Over a six pack or two, John and I would shoot the shit about all things automotive. To current repairs, old memorable jobs, shitty engineering, and much more.

The amount of automotive knowledge I gleaned from John was valuable and long lasting.

Ive long since lived in the UK now. So thought I'd see if there were any folks out there that would be interested in chit chatting around a pub or someplace in a similar fashion.
