Kick off the new year with a refreshing winter hike at Fanshawe Conservation Area! 🌲❄️ Join us on Saturday, January 3, for a peaceful walk through snow-covered trails, frozen lake views, and quiet winter scenery just outside the city.

We’ll meet at 11:00 AM at the main parking area and head out together for a 6–8 km hike at a relaxed, steady pace. This will be an easy to moderate hike, perfect for anyone looking to get outdoors, stay active, and enjoy nature in winter.

⏰ Start time: 11:00 AM
⏳ Duration: ~3 to 4 hours (with breaks)
🥾 Difficulty: Easy to moderate
📍 Location: Fanshawe Conservation Area, London ON
🚗 Parking & Fees:
On-site parking is available and it is free in off-season, however, please be prepared to pay at the gate or via self-pay if required.

🧣 What to bring:
– Waterproof winter boots with good grip
– Warm layers (hat, gloves, insulated jacket)
– Water (insulated bottle recommended)
– Optional: hiking poles or traction cleats if trails are icy

This is a social winter hike, so we’ll keep the pace comfortable and take time to enjoy the scenery and chat along the way. If conditions allow, we can end with a quick warm-up coffee nearby ☕️

Perfect for starting 2025 on a healthy, outdoorsy note; hope to see you there! 🌨️🥾
