Three Scots and a Portuguese form the Corran Quartet. After playing together in a variety of ensembles, and soon realising that their mutual passion was the string quartet repertoire, Ed, Kirsty, Molly and Joana decided to come together to form a new quartet, and the Corran was born.
The quartet is a new member of SoundUp Arts, an organisation that specialises in developing programmes for people with dementia. (https://www.sounduparts.com). As such, they are about to embark on a project to play for as many people as possible in various care homes in England, bringing live music to residents whose lives need nourishing and looking after. More information is available on the Corran Quartet website (http://www.corranquartet.com).
You’ll need to purchase your ticket for £10 by e-mail (corranquartet@outlook.com).
I am on maternity leave from the group, so this event will not be hosted. This event will take place in a private courtyard, so you will need to establish details of the exact location with the quartet when you purchase your tickets.
