About us
Nihao! Welcome to London Chinese Culture Meetup ๐
London Chinese Culture Meetup is a warm, relaxed community in London for people who are curious about Chinese and wider Asian culture.
Whether you grew up with Asian culture, are learning Mandarin, love Asian food and games, are curious about travelling to China, or simply want to meet kind and interesting people in London, you are genuinely welcome here.
Culture becomes much easier to understand when people meet in person: sharing stories, practising language, playing games, eating together, and asking honest questions in a friendly setting. That is the spirit behind this group.
You do not need to be Chinese, speak Mandarin, or know much about Chinese culture to join. Some people come to practise Mandarin or English, some come for board games and conversation, some come because they are curious about China, and some come simply because they want a friendly Sunday afternoon with open-minded people.
The groupโs regular home is Loong Express on Great Portland Street. Every Sunday afternoon, members gather there for a casual culture social with conversation, snacks, games, and a light weekly theme. Some weeks focus on Chinese names and Hanzi writing; other weeks include language practice, board games, food culture, tea, travel stories, or everyday customs.
