A talk presenting a work in progress plugin that reimagines how sound can be created and performed. Using animation as a tool for composition, colour and movement become filters, echoes, and tone. Speakers:
Alex Dray is a London-based animator, illustrator, and composer whose work explores the meeting point between sound and image. With over a decade of experience in animation and visual storytelling, he’s created work for clients including Billie Eilish, Apple, and MTV, while composing and sound designing for short films and live events. His recent focus lies in experimenting with new technologies, from creative coding to AI assisted tools, as a way to discover new forms of interaction between animation and music.
Austin Tsai is a Real-Time Artist at Foster + Partners, working with Unreal Engine to craft cinematic and interactive experiences. With a background spanning 2D, 3D, and virtual production, he enjoys exploring how art and technology can blend across different platforms, experimenting with tools to push creative boundaries.
Suyash Joshi is an experienced software engineer and creative technologist who worked for over a decade in London and SF Bay Area. He obtained Masters at Goldsmiths and Bachelors at University of Michigan and currently works at InfluxData. He is also organizer of this meetup community.
