Hey everyone! Hope you are all keeping well!
We're back broadcasting live from our homes again. Like last time, we'll share a Zoom link with you all so we can all feel connected once again. There will be a prize for the worse haircut, so please don't be shy!
There's only 100 seats available, but fear not we will also be streaming to Youtube (which has space for everyone!), but expect a slight delay (and maybe some dodgy audio).
So we have 2 great talks in store, followed by some chat.
## Augmenting pollution data, power consumption and speculative story telling – Studio Above&Below
Studio Above&Below will hold a performative talk, augmenting how pollution data, power consumption and speculative storytelling influences their current R&D into Augmented Reality artworks.
The talk will cover insights of bringing invisible pollution data to live with the help of the Mixed reality headsets.
Studio Above&Below is a London based art and design studio founded by Daria Jelonek (DE) and Perry-James Sugden (UK). The studio practice focuses on interactive and speculative projects, based on hands-on research at the intersection of technology, interactive art and computational design. Focusing on future scenarios in which emerging technology interacts with our environment, the studio aims to push the boundaries of digital media for positive future living.
## Creative Coding In The Realms Of Graphic Design - Tim Rodenbröker
In times of constant technical progress, the creative industry in particular is subject to permanent change processes. Therefore, the question arises as to which mindset we can use to meet this enormous challenge.
Tim Rodenbröker is convinced that these obstacles hold great opportunities for us. In his lecture he will talk about possible perspectives, his personal path in life, his teaching and the power of self-initiated projects.
Educator and designer Tim Rodenbröker works in the intersection of communication and technology. He sees code as an essential building-block in contemporary design-education. Over the course of the last years he has developed a wide range of commercial and self-commissioned projects that proof and highlight the massive potencial of creative coding in the realms of communication design. Tim has built numerous online- and offline-communities around this theme, always aiming to connect people from various creative disciplines. He regularly speaks at design-conferences and conducts workshops in universities and venues around Europe.
