Beach Dance Party & Chillout (Zouk Party)

Welcome to the party!

Its a beach party and zouk, so lets make it as big as possible. Bring your best swimwear, sun creams, moves, bbqs, frisbees, and whatever else you want to make this a great party.

Why this specific beach?

Its far enough from civilization that you don't hear the noise of cars or the city, its far enough from people so you have all the space to dance and to blast the music as loud as possible, its sandy, the low tide stretches for like 1/2 a mile and its dead flat which makes it easy to dance, whats not to like?! Freeeeedom :)

Its also been tried and tested.

Description

You can make a good fun day of it dancing, or you can chill amongst your fellow Zoukers, this event is ideal for those who want to escape the city life for a day.

Between the hours of 10am to 4pm we'll have a dance party as that's when the tide is low and when its ideal. If you want to dance then come early! I cannot stop the water coming in so when its high tide at 4pm, we'll have more of a chill social afternoon. I have 2 bose speakers which will blast music for at least 50 couples dancing so feel free to invite anyone or to come by yourself as you're sure to find a partner.

There is a toilet on this beach but there are no shower facilities.
There is no food anywhere close so bring plenty of food water. There is a Cafe but it may or may not work on the day so please keep this in mind.

I want to leave as much room as possible for people to bring their own ideas to the event as possible. Eventhough its a zouk event, feel free to make of it whatever you want. Heck bring a board game if you're into this, so rest assured its as general as you want it to be.

Recommended footwear: If you want to dance longer than 3 hours then I recommend flat-sole shoes which you are willing to get sandy.

Otherwise, your feet will get sore after that time unless you regularly walk bear foot.

Location and how to find us

Park at the designated parking or the surrounding areas. I will share my live location for the first two hours, and post the GPS coordinates, but!.... If you cannot follow the instructions clearly, hopefully you can follow the music :)

Trains: You can arrive by train to "Littlehampton Rail Station". The walk is about 30 minutes thereafter.

Train tickets are £6 each way from London Victoria only.

Regarding the weather, cancellation, and rescheduling of the event.
As we are extremely weather dependent the event will be automatically rescheduled if its cold or wet

1. If the daytime temperature is less than 22C, reschedule. Anything below its hard to keep warm with the sea breeze unless you're constantly moving.

2. If its raining or the likelihood of rain is more than 20%, reschedule. Unless the temperature is 40c or something and its raining, then it might be fine but no one likes rubbish weather on a beach day.
